Our Story

How We Got Started

Cursed Coffee Co. is independently owned and operated, serving our locally roasted coffee.

Originally opened in 2004 as “Forbidden Flavours Shilo”, myself and my husband Ben, purchased the business in December of 2019. It’s always been my dream to own a cozy café bakery, and when this opportunity came up, the timing was perfect. To celebrate our fresh start, we re-branded to “Cursed Coffee Co.”

I’ve always had a love for great quality products and ingredients, coffee, and a community feel. Growing up in the area, I have my Business Administration Certification from ACC, and I’ve worked in the food service industry for nearly a decade. I’ve been an avid baker and a coffee lover for years, and I’m very passionate about bringing you coffee that you want to get, not that you have to get. (Caffeine addictions, amirite?)

About Our Team

The Cursed Coffee Co. team is more than just your average group of baristas - we’re a family.

Most of us either grew up living on base, or have been living here for some time now. We’re more than just strangers working in a coffee shop. We’re all part of the greater community and proud to call CFB Shilo home. We’re a lively team, and can’t wait to make you the perfect coffee before you head to work, or while you’re meeting up with friends.
